Professional Nurses’ Roles and Responsibilities

Nursing covers the care of patients of different ages, backgrounds, and different social statuses. That is the basis of the work of nurses, as it significantly improves the patient’s condition during recovery. Medical workers are commonly known for being multi-taskers and are capable of providing suitable care for different kinds of patients. Caring for healthcare professionals is a rather definitive part of their daily work.

In my opinion, the main goal of nursing is to ensure a patient’s comfort and create a suitable environment for a pleasant stay at the hospital. It is essential to understand that nurses perform a crucial function in helping patients recover by caring for them (Roy, 2018). For some people, this work may seem to be quite simple. Nonetheless, nurses do significant labor and often take on other responsibilities; the critical task is the correct application of knowledge not only from the medical field but from many others as well (Roy, 2018). Thus, such an application transforms the concept of nursing and nurses from the society’s perspective.

Nursing matters to me because its primary feature is to ease people’s discomfort. Specifically, this occupation assists patients with preventing or curing diseases. In addition, nurses are always in contact with people, even more than doctors, so they significantly influence a person and their condition during their stay in the hospital. Said influence is defined by their assessments of one’s current condition. Caring for people often manifests as an ordinary communicative item such as cheering up or helping with household staff. Nurses provide a person’s best and most comfortable stay during treatment.

Nursing theory is a partial creative work in which I apply most of my knowledge. Wisdom often comes from different fields, but it helps improve nursing and make people comfortable. I think the Theory of Comfort is the best for me and my work because it helps to clearly and concisely resolve the situation (Tran et al., 2018). The aforementioned text primarily involves providing high-quality treatment to the patient. Along with this, care becomes the basis of the theory, as it allows a person to better convalescence (Roy, 2018). The next step in this theory is the nurse’s actions that directly affect the patient and contribute to their recovery.

The first one is integrity because it allows one to follow all the rules of dealing with people. At the same time, that improves communication with both patients and employees. Ingenuity is essential in working with patients because such a value will allow a nurse to adapt quickly and find a way out of complex incidents (Robinson et al., 2017). It is worth noting that professionalism is necessary to perform quality work and provide everything required for a person during his recovery. The following qualities are essential for medical workers: hard-working, knowledgeable, effective communication, and others. They are necessary because the root of nursing requires quality communication with patients. And to perform the work correctly, it is worth listening to patients, patience, and teamwork. These skills allow nurses to perform proper work and skillfully help patients.

As a nurse, I intend to improve the general condition of society and individual communities with the help of various practices. Moreover, I would like to contribute to the prevention of multiple diseases by educating people on the rules that allow them to preserve their health. During my career, I look forward to introducing different technologies to the patients’ communities. By performing the aforementioned actions, I hope to change society for the better.

To summarize, it is worth saying that nursing is a critical component of society and the patient’s condition because it allows you to perform all stages of treatment. The community must realize that nursing ensures the patient’s comfort and goes through the entire treatment path with this patient. In addition, nurses are multitasking people who make a sign significantly contribute to hospitals and the improvement of all their functions for people.
