Memorial Healthcare’s Mission, Vision, and Values in Patient Care

The Role of Mission, Vision, and Values in Reflecting a Culture of Excellence

Memorial Healthcare is a non-profit hospital that provides outpatient and inpatient services to the public. Their mission is to strive to become leaders in the public health industry and become those whose activities aim to improve service, innovation, and active teamwork (Memorial Healthcare, n.d.). The vision is that the company is outstanding in personalized care.

Memorial Healthcare’s values are the desire to become the best, to be open in communication and thereby inspire confidence in people, to help everyone, to be aware of all innovations, and to actively apply them in their work. The organizational culture is based precisely on values, and management takes place on behalf of the people responsible for corporate policy and assets.

Organizational Mission, Vision, and Personal Nursing Philosophy

The organization’s mission, vision, and values reflect the culture of excellence because they are based on caring for patients’ health. Moreover, it will introduce innovations that can improve care, improve their staff as professionals, and provide effective treatment and excellent care (Medeiros, 2020). As a future nursing educator, I aim to train my wards to provide exceptional care. That is, my philosophy of nursing and values coincide with those reflected in the company’s mission and values. The difference lies in the fact that I would focus on the professionalism of my wards rather than on the introduction of the innovations.

Manifestation of Mission and Values in Organizational Culture and Leadership

The mission and values are reflected in the organizational culture and leadership because the organization strives to create a culture of trust between patients and medical staff, be ethical towards all patients and colleagues, and be inspired by their work. The leadership strategy can be aimed at maintaining a culture of excellence, and for my future role, it will be to create a shared vision and values between colleagues and patients.

Recommended Leadership Approach: Fostering a Culture of Excellence in Future MSN Roles

It is necessary to determine the vision our company will be guided by and the three central values that we will promote. This will have a beneficial effect on the work of the whole team, as the development paths will be clearly defined. It will also be the basis for successful work and patience. This can positively impact my future role, as it will help determine my principles and direction of work and give the nurses an understanding of high-quality care.
