Summary
Project Mission Statement
The proposed project mission statement is to provide an urgent care center on the municipality’s west side that operates 24/7 so that the residents can acquire effective care delivery services. Therefore, the new facility will ensure that approximately 81,000 citizens have proximity to a cost-effective medical center when emergencies occur. In addition, health center subordinates will offer extensive compassion and empathy to the clients, ensure that all patients’ needs are attended to, provide quality care, and improve the company’s reputation. The mission statement assists the workers in witnessing pragmatic aspects of their daily tasks, creating long-haul staff speculation in the organizational culture and boosting their morale. In addition, due to the urgent care’s strategic location, surrounded by essential amenities, including Sam’s Club, Walmart, Walgreens, and CVs, people will have easy accessibility to the facility and receive immediate treatment.
Project Objectives
In any project, the objectives serve as the basis for impact-oriented work and help establish the necessary efforts and the extent to which the resources will be utilized. Therefore, the goals are the blueprint of what one intends to attain at the end of the project. They may include assets, deliverables, and tangible aims, such as escalating motivation and productivity. In that regard, the objectives of the project are as follows:
- To provide additional healthcare care alternatives to the residents and patients of the west side of the city.
- To offer lab and x-ray options for the clients around the west side of the city.
- To supplement affordable care options for victims referred to the hospital by local physicians.
Work Breakdown Structure
The work breakdown structure (WBS) is an approach for assembling and accomplishing tasks in a project. Disintegrating work into smaller activities is a typical productivity strategy deployed to make a job approachable and manageable (Das et al., 2021). WBS is a crucial project management document that incorporates schedule baselines, cost, and scope to ensure the newly acquired and developed urgent care center plans are effectively aligned. Table 1 illustrates the significant activities that will enable the accomplishment of the urgent care center project.

Project Schedule
Gantt Chart
A Gantt chart is a typically utilized graphical depiction of a project schedule that indicates the project’s start and finish dates. It aids in managing, planning, and monitoring particular activities and resources in a project, such as the proposed development of the urgent care center (Das et al., 2021). Notably, a Gantt chart is essential in tracking obstacles and identifying tasks that might be eliminated from the project timeline. Figure 1 showcases the Gantt chart for the WBS activities required to accomplish the urgent care center project.
Funding Source
The development of the urgent care center project will be funded through federal grant funds. Since the city’s west side faces the challenge of having adequate healthcare facilities, the government grants will ensure that the healthcare priorities are enhanced and that residents receive improved care services. Such a financing strategy is crucial as the healthcare facility management will not be expected to reimburse the money with attached interest (Das et al., 2021).
Therefore, the healthcare center will hire the required number of workers, purchase the much-needed surgical tools, secure a rental place for business operation, pay the initial salary of employees, and facilitate advertisements. Grants are widely available compared to other funding techniques such as loans. They enable newly opened ventures, such as urgent care centers, to operate effectively without fear of closing due to a lack of finances.
Project Budget
The project budget is an instrument deployed by individuals to estimate the entire cost of various activities required to make the urgent care center facility operational. Therefore, it entails a detailed elaboration of expenses incurred to complete a project, enables one to determine the core objectives, and helps a program manager accomplish all tasks on time per the client’s demands. Table 2 illustrates the project budget for operationalizing the urgent care center facility.

Assumptions of the Project
One of the presumptions of the project is that there are adequate clients in the city’s west side demographic region to reinforce the healthcare activities of the urgent care center. In addition, the west side of the town provides easy access to pharmacies in reputable ventures, including Walgreens, CVs, and Walmart. The new operating hours for the urgent care center will be 24/7 to enable patients to receive affordable healthcare services, allowing them not to overload the emergency room to avoid the high cost of visitation. However, the facility will remain closed on Christmas, New Year, and Thanksgiving days.

It is essential to draft mitigation measures to enable the project managers and the involved stakeholders to rectify the projected adverse events and ensure the effective accomplishment of the urgent care center facility.
