Importance of Formatting in Business Research Writing
Research paper writing is skill which students need to master in order to write effectively and earn good grades. Students who write business research papers should follow a certain format and structure. The first step to business research paper writing is to draft an outline and note down the main points of the paper.
The outline of the business research paper will begin with an introduction which will include a bulleted list of the information which the students will base the paper on. The introduction will be the main heading of the paper which will include the background of the main topic, how the topic relates to business in the current global scenario and finally the thesis statement. The thesis statement will be the main guiding stone of the entire business research paper and all research, arguments and claims will be based on it.
The second section of research paper outlines will include the main body paragraphs with clearly defined topic sentences. For instance, the first paragraph will be related to the business topic being discussed in the paper. Business research paper writing should be appropriately referenced and the main body should paragraphs should be well divided into suitable sections.
The paper should have suitable Sub-headings according to the thesis statement and all sub-topics should be in support of the main thesis. For instance, if the business research paper relates to a topic related to waste elimination, then the sub-headings should cover all aspects of waste elimination programs such as reduction of fuel use, reduction of water consumption, elimination of wastes through recycling programs etc. Finally, the business research paper should conclude with a logical end restating the thesis and the main elements of the paper.
